If youth players are trained using the most effective soccer training methods in the world, starting as early as the age of seven, they will develop the sound technical foundation necessary to become exceptional players.
This is the foundational belief of Coerver® Coaching, and to help our players get there, we offer the Coerver® Centers of Excellence, tiered, structured player-development program that’s been designed to foster a competitive, challenging training environment for talented young players. The program stimulates young players to develop at an accelerated rate, while allowing them (and their families) to enjoy the benefits of playing with their friends on their existing club teams. In Alaska, we offer two Centers of Excellence, with programs running in three sessions throughout the year. The Coerver® Coaching AK Center of Excellence is for players 7 to 11 who are serious about improving their skills, knowledge and playing ability. Players are identified for the COE either from their participation in a Coerver® ClubAcademy or after the four-week identification period that kicks off each COE program.
The Coerver® Center of Excellence—Elite is a new, highly selective program designed for top players. To gain entry into a COE-Elite, players must be identified through their participation in another Coerver® program, or have been a distinguished graduate of the COE program—and still each player must satisfactorily pass a series of skill- and ball mastery tests before registration will be granted. Many COE-Elite players are subsequently invited to travel and compete with our AKFC premier travel teams.

Identified COE players have an opportunity to play friendlies and in tournaments as a member of the Alaska Football Club, Find out more
